Barons Midget Major Freddy Gerard has signed a tender to play for the Boston Bandits of the EJHL. Gerard, a senior at St. Ed's High School has been in the Barons program since Mites.

The Cleveland Barons are pleased to announce that four members of the U16 Midget Minor team have been invited to attend the USA National Team Development Program (NTDP) “40 man” camp in Ann Arbor, MI.
Best wishes to Nick Magyar, Sonny Milano, Blake Siebenaler and John MacLeod as they vie for a spot on the NTDP U17 team in 2012-2013.
Head Coaches
Midget Major: Tim Alexander, born in Windsor, Ontario was a four year hockey letterman at Bowling Green State University. He has coached at all levels from Youth hockey to Junior to NCAA over the last 32 years. The two time NAHL coach of the year has placed over 150 players into Division 1 NCAA hockey and has had over 30 players drafted or play in the NHL.
Midget Minor: Brett Harkins, born in Cleveland, Ohio was a four year hockey letterman at Bowling Green State University and played 15 years of professional hockey including over 75 games in the NHL as a member of the Boston Bruins and Columbus Blue Jackets. Brett has coached our 96 team the last two seasons and currently has that team ranked 3rd in the United States.
1998 Birth Year: Iain Duncan, born in Toronto, Ontario was a four year letterman at Bowling Green State University and a member of the 1988 NHL all rookie team while playing for the Winnipeg Jets. He has coached at all levels from Youth hockey to Junior to Professional. Iain will be entering his second season as the head coach of the 1998 birth year.
1999 Birth Year: Jeff Wells, born in Brockville, Ontario, was a four year hockey letterman and 1994 graduate of Bowling Green State University. The two time member of Team Canada and NCAA All American defenseman played over 500 games professionally. He has previously coached with the Barons, coaching the 1997, 1998 and 2000 birth year teams.
2000 Birth Year: Mike Hall, born in Ottawa, Ontario, was a four year hockey letterman and 1996 graduate of Bowling Green State University. Mike attended the Anaheim Mighty Ducks training camp in 1996 and went on to play 5 seasons in the ECHL, AHL and IHL. He has been the Assistant Coach with the Barons 2000 team the past two years, and served as an Assistant Coach with Gilmour Lancer’s Prep team from 2004 to 2008.
2001 Birth Year: Steve Ipri, born in Philadelphia, PA has been a long time Barons coach, and was responsible for starting our 1998 Birth year and coaching them in the Brick Tournament in Edmonton, Alberta. This will be Steve’s second season coaching our 2001 birth Year. This year’s 2001 team finished second in the league with a record of 19-2-5.
2002 Birth Year: Jim Keserich, born in Cleveland, Ohio has been a long time Barons coach, coaching at our 86, 96, 94 and 97 birth years. Jim was the Barons goaltender coach for ten years. Eight of his goalies went on to play Division 1 college hockey. Jim’s son Ian played 8 years with the Barons and was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche.
2003 Birth Year: Jason Danner, born in Dayton, Ohio spent four years playing college hockey at Ohio University, including winning the 1995 ACHA National Championship. He has spent the last 6 years coaching different levels of youth hockey. His most recent position was head coach of the North Olmsted Mite AA team.
