The 2000 Cleveland Barons Pee Wee Minor AAA hockey team and the Alice Noble Ice Arena are pleased to once again be chosen as one of the ten sites across North America to host the Super Series AAA Elite Hockey tournament on September 16-18, 2011.

The 2K Super Series is a sequence of hockey showcase tournaments around the country that will feature only the top 2000 birth year AAA teams throughout North America. This year represents an expanded field of 8 outstanding youth hockey programs:  Cleveland Barons, Dallas Stars Elite, St. Louis Jr. Blues, WestChester Express, Buffalo Regals, Atlantic AAA Storm, Milwaukee Jr. Admirals and the Florida AAA Jr. Panthers.

Seth Greenberg, General Manager of Alice Noble Ice Arena states, “We are very pleased and excited to have been chosen to once again host such a prestigious event. We look forward to having the opportunity to show the visiting teams the beautiful facility that is the Noble Ice Arena and introduce our guests to the vibrant Wooster community. We are confident that this event will be another huge success and will continue to grow and expand. We are planning to build off of the success of this year and expand the Series Showcase to include other AAA divisions in the future.”

The 2K Classic Showcase is a free event and open to the public. If you are interested in watching top-notch, competitive youth hockey right here in your neighborhood, plan on making a visit to the Noble Ice Arena over the weekend of September 16-18. You never know … you may be witnessing the next Sydney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin!
